OWN PWR whey protein powder I am a powerlifter who has used dozens of proteins over the last 15 years. I look specifically for a whey/casein blend without proprietary blends and full label disclosure. That’s hard to find for this price. Taste doesn’t matter and shouldn’t factor into the rating. Who cares what it tastes like, it’s vaguely chocolate tasting and pretty much in line with every other powder out there. You don’t drink it as a delicious snack, it’s for the nutrition content. For the price and quality, this is a go-to for me right now.

Best OWN PWR Sport Nutrition I wasn't expecting much from this protein, but since it was affordable I figured I'd give it a try. I am very pleased with the taste, and the way it mixes. I typically drink a shake in the morning, before or after a workout. If I go hard at the gym that day I'll drink a shake at night before bed. I like mixing a scoop with about 10 Oz of unsweetened Almond Milk. I only use Blender Bottles, and it mixes great in those with minimal effort. I appreciate the fact that it contains whey, and a slower digesting protein (Casein). I believe I've found my new "go to" protein mix. I highly recommend trying this out.

OWN PWR Whey Protein So, if you read the reviews there tends to be a trend of some people kind of hating on this whey protein blend. I took a shot because I mostly use protein blends. OWN PWR was surprisingly good. I tasted the "Chocolate Peanut Butter" version. Now, this isn't one of those call your friends and scream "OMG" kind of proteins, but it was very good. It isn't chalky, it blends well and it goes down easy. The chocolate peanut butter is very subtle. I think that is one place for improvement in making it a little more flavorful, but its still great. One thing I found that makes it taste a lot better is to make sure to not use too much water. A lot of water tends to really take the flavor away where as some whey protein blends need it because they are too sweet. I would suggest 10-12oz of water as ideal, but just test it out and eyeball it.I mix my whey with creatine and beta alanine and it really doesn't mess with the flavor too much.I would like to see more flavors! I'd suggest cookies and cream, mocha and just straight peanut butter. Strawberry isn't a bad idea either. Birthday Cake would be nice, but no one has really nailed it without making it too sweet.
