Optimum Nutrition whey protein powder Ordeee the key lime flavor, not very good and the powder cakes and curls. Gross!! Previously ordered other flavors and have not had an issue. Not sure what’s wrong now but I will not be buying again.

Optimum Nutrition Whey Protein I've been trying out the ON whey products, and have found some that are really good for my tastes and preferences. I had serious injuries and serious muscle-loss, and need to provide extra protein in my diet, throughout the day, in order to heal well. I wanted something to add protein to my diet several times a day, even when I don't feel like cooking or don't have an appetite. Some of these taste good enough that they could be considered a treat or snack, which keeps me from eating something less nutritious. The Mochachino flavor is my favorite -- it has a good coffee-chocolate taste and is very palatable. The protein-supplement for those times when I'm in a hurry or just want "something," as well as to supplement a meal or snack with a bit more protein. Not too sweet. I keep intending to call the manufacturer to find out how much caffeine it contains (not listed on the product label) ; I worry about how much caffeine I might be ingesting by the end of the day if I use this as my main supplement. Sleep is as necessary as protein for rebuilding muscle! The Key Lime is quite good! It fills a special niche in my diet. I was searching for something to mix my yogurt and aloe vera juice. In my humble opinion, the chocolate flavors are really disgusting with aloe vera and yogurt; vanilla whey is OK but not that interesting. However, the Key Lime Pie really blends well -- 1 scoop with 1/4 cup aloe vera juice, 1/2 cup live-culture yogurt, and a little milk to keep it liquid (or water) -- the flavor is just slightly sweet and very pleasant. I bet the Key Lime flavor would blend well with any vegetable or fruit. I'd like to see it in larger bulk-jars.As a reference point on taste, I find the Vanilla to be too bland, and the Rocky Road a bit too sweet (although OK with milk). I like the taste and texture of these drinks best when made with whole milk, but in fact I tend to make them with water and sometimes other supplements blended or shaken in. I use a hand-held shaker cup with a metal spiral ball inside -- does a great job.
